Oh My Heston

Just came back from Heston Blumenthal's restaurant The Fat Duck. We have been eating for four hours! 12 courses! It was the most amazing experience... I will post loads of pictures tomorrow. Too full to do anything right now :)

Epic Potato Salad!

Last night I made an EPIC potato salad (not my words!) It was so good I actually exclaimed: "mmm, amazing!" when I ate it which is quite embarassing if you are the cook!
Here's the recipe:
1. Boil some potatoes. (If you are English and don't know how to boil potatoes; peel some potatoes, stick them in a pot of boiling water, add salt and simmer for about 20 mins, could be less if they are small! Stick a fork in them, when they are soft but still a bit firm they're ready! :)
2. Add red onion, spring onion, capers and goat's cheese (or feta).
3. Make a dressing of olive oil, vinegar, dijon mustard, honey and lemon juice + salt and pepper.
4. Pour the dressing over the potato salad, mix it gently.

Eat and feel your tastebuds dance with joy!

Bright Ideas

My brother send me this photo from his local grocery store in Sweden. I designed this display stand when I was an intern at wonderlandWPA, kind of fun to see it's actually in the shops now!

Vintage Lisa!

I have been asked to show a photo of me from when I was little, so here it is! I think I was around five years old here, on holiday with my family in Mallorca. I like my tooth gap and the retro design of the Pepsi can!

Vertu Launch Party!

So on Tuesday I went to the launch of Vertu's new mobile phone in Lancaster House. These phones are extremely expensive and come with a Concierge service where you can press a button and ask for anything from a secretary to... who knows? Anyway, I was there with Silent Studios, they did lots of work for the launch, for example a "tunnel" with moving image and sound and brand films. I worked with them on a film about another Vertu service called City Brief, it's like a posh travel guide with tips like "Don't bother with The London Eye, for better views of the city, just hire a chopper!"
I didn't get a good picture of the actual event, but the place was amazing, so beautiful! Here's me with Liam and Oliver from Silent Studios.
Oli was happy!
The Vertu slogan...
and the City Brief room! It was great to see the finished thing, I did so much research for this I even dreamt about istockphoto, but it was worth it, it looked awesome!
My buddy Seal was there.
More from the City Brief room, Oli and I were probably the ones who were the most excited about it... although I did see some of the guests photographing the screens!
Two creative geniuses admiring their work.

Jo looking foxy...
and the lovely guys behind Silent Studios; Oliver, Liam and Nathan.

"We did it!"

After the event was finished we went to a bar in Soho, and after that Ronnie Scott's which is a jazz bar. By that time I was too "tired" to photograph but here are som from the bar that Jo took:

I really like this photo, Oli looks like he's in Mad Men!
This drink was called "Golden Retriver" it looks great but that must the worst name for a cocktail ever... mmm sounds tasty like... wet dog? I spilled most of it anyway which was probably good!
Cheers!
Thanks guys for a great night!

Just Another Day in London

Home Made Pasta by Peter!

Last weekend my big brother Peter came to visit. On Friday he put his
culinary skills to the test and cooked us an amazing dinner!
Peter made pasta from scratch, we don't have a pasta machine or even a
rolling pin so he had to use an empty wine bottle...
But as you can see it worked out perfectly!
Anneli was there.
Peter made two different pasta dishes, one fettucini with meat and one lasagne
with smoked salmon, soooo good!
James got a penguin shower cap as a belated birthday present! Who doesn't need a
penguin shower cap?

Miniature Rome!

Here's a miniature model I made of Rome... not really, it's an application I found out about today that makes your photos look like miniature model cities! It's called a "tilt shift" effect.

Here's the original photo:

Some Moving Image That I Worked On!

This is a clip from an event called the Black Ball in New York, Alicia Keys organizes the event every year for a charity called "Keep A Child Alive." Silent Studios did the graphics that are moving behind the artists when they performed. I drew some of the African patterns that are behind Jay-Z, and the guys I work with animated them. Looks pretty awesome I think!

Camden Lock Market With Emma

When Emma was here we went to the market in Camden. It was really good, it used to be a bit crap but has now become much bigger with lots of nice new shops and there's food as well.
