Smoothies and Salmon & Ginger Fishcakes

Last night James cooked the best dinner! He made salmon & ginger fischcakes and sweet potato chips. It was so delicious, I felt like I was at The Flask, my favourite gastro pub in London. You seriously have to try these! You can find the recipe here.
Another thing we've been having fun with is our new smoothie machine, it's a blender especially for making smoothies and it's brilliant! So easy to use and clean. I think I've had at least one smoothie every day since we got it! Above is a raspberry smoothie with vanilla youghurt, what's your favourite smoothie?

I love smoothies! We were thinking of registering for a blender for our wedding just so we can have smoothies every day. And milkshakes :)

I received a vitamix blender two years ago and I love it for many things but smoothies are my favorite. I like strawberries, kiwis, banana, blueberries, pineapple, spinach and a little flax seed. YUM!!! You can't even taste the spinach but it is so good for you!

  5. I really do love sweet potato! And the fishcakes look divine :) Well done James - you should open up your own restaurant! ;) I'd eat there! Hehe! :)

Mmmm - in terms of smoothies, I don't really make them that often but the last one I made included quite a number of different things and it tasted 'ok' lol! It had grape, banana, orange, vanilla yoghurt, apple and cherries if I remember correctly... totally random I know! :D

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  12. You should be a food photographer, these look so amazing! You're so lucky to have a smoothie machine, especially with summer upon us! There is a cafe down the block that misspelled smoothie on their sign, it reads "smootie" haha.
