New Dress & New Beginning in Sweden!

Yesterday I bought a new dress for one of my best friends Tove's wedding in a few weeks, so excited!

As you know I love print and patterns and this one is just lovely!

What's even more lovely is that James and I are moving to Sweden next week! We have decided to relocate to Stockholm and we're both super excited! I will run my design company from there and James will learn Swedish, eeek! :)

I know I'e kept it a bit of a secret on the blog, there wasn't any reason for that, it just happened since I had so much other stuff going on with my work and stuff. But I will surely keep you updated about the move, it will be a new adventure for me and James, finding jobs and a place to live in Sweden. I have lived in London for seven years now and loved it, but it's time to come home. We will always come back though to visit friends and family of course. I'm so lucky and happy James is willing to give Sweden a try, hopefully he'll love it!

Lisa Edoff Design at Pulse Trade Show

I had three great days at Pulse, a trade show for the UK and international homeware, fashion and gift industry. It was a really good experience, I definitely learned a lot and met some cool people!

The show was at Earl's Court exhibition centre in London, it's massive!

I exhibited at a section called "Selected", it's an area where young designers that have graduated from University of the Arts London can show their products. Central St Martins College of Design (which is quite a famous London art college) had selected the designers on show, there was 17 of us and everything from jewellery to print design and product inventions.

My mum came over from Sweden to help me out, it was so nice to have her there, mainly for moral support!

Here is my collection of wooden serving trays, I have developed a new, bigger "Wonderland" tray that you can see here on the left, and also one with a black background (to the right).

These are all new products! (except for the notebooks) You have seen the peacock and bird scarf before, but I've also made some silk scarves with the magnolia pattern...

plus these lovely wash bags and a laptop bag! I also had four different iPhone cases made, they came out so great!

During one of the days the "Selected" stand had a wine reception, we drank out of these clever wine glasses that you can write your name on with chalk, designed by my fellow exhibitor Cami Raben

The iPhone cases received really good feedback!

I had a magnolia one made for my htc phone, I love it!

James dropped by of course!

After three days I was completely spent, but very happy about the experience and the contacts I made, it was so nice to meet the other designers and good to see how these trade shows work.

And a couple of days ago I got my first offline stockist, a gift shop in Scotland is going to start selling my trays, hooray!

Printed Goodies

Only a week until I show at Pulse now, eeek! Last week I got my new business cards and postcards to hand out as promotion, love them!

This bird-on-a-gramophone design works really well on a business card, don't you think?

Fish n' Chips n' Coffee

On Sunday I went to Brick Lane in East London with James and his parents.

First we had lunch at a fab fish n' chips restaurant called Poppie's.

The staff were dressed in awesome retro outifts...

and the walls were decorated with old records, posters and newspaper articles.

The fish and chips was really good, one of the best I've had in London!

This waitress looked amazing, I love her red and blonde hair!

After lunch we went to The London Coffee Festival at The Truman Brewery.

It was a lot of fun, we sampled lots of different coffee and got a bit buzzed! They also had different teas, chocolate and other foods.

This barista made our favourite coffee from Allpress.
